This Privacy Policy explains how Claz, operated by an independent sole proprietor (monotributista) registered in Argentina ("Claz", "we", "us"), collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use our AI-assisted tariff classification service. We act as the data controller for account data and, for the content you submit, as a processor on your organization's behalf.

1. Data we collect

• Account data — name, email, password (stored hashed), organization details, and role.
• Content you submit — product descriptions, uploaded documents and invoices, and the classifications generated from them.
• Usage and technical data — log data, device and browser information, IP address, and how you interact with the service.
• Billing data — plan, credit usage, and payment metadata. Card details are handled by Paddle, our payment provider; we never receive or store full card numbers.

2. How we use data

We use personal data to:

• provide, operate, and secure the service;
• generate classifications and maintain your history and citations;
• meter usage and process subscriptions and payments;
• communicate with you about your account and service updates; and
• comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse or fraud.

3. AI processing and subprocessors

To classify products, we send the relevant content (for example, your product description or extracted invoice lines) to third-party providers that perform AI processing and web research on our behalf, including large-language-model providers (Google Gemini), web search (Exa), payment processing and billing (Paddle.com Market Ltd, our Merchant of Record), and cloud hosting. These providers act as our subprocessors and are bound to use the data only to provide their services to us.

4. Legal bases

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, your consent where requested, and compliance with legal obligations.

5. How we share data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the subprocessors described above, with professional advisors and authorities where legally required, and in connection with a corporate transaction (such as a merger or acquisition), subject to appropriate safeguards. Your Content is private to your organization and is never shared with other customers.

6. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for a reasonable period to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion as described below.

7. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including tenant isolation, encryption in transit, access controls, and least- privilege database access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. If your data is managed by an organization, please also contact that organization's administrator.

9. International transfers

We and our subprocessors may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for international transfers.

10. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as language and theme. We do not use advertising cookies.

11. Children

Claz is intended for business use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
